is the total matches won divided by the total matches played.
Players Statistics
How Mexicano Works
Mexicano is a padel tournament format where players accumulate points/games individually, and players are re-paired after every round based on the current leaderboard standings.
Pairing Logic
After each round, all players are sorted by total points/games won (or matches won). The pairing algorithm groups players of similar standing together — the top-ranked players face each other, and the lower-ranked face each other.
- Players ranked 1 & 3 partner against players ranked 2 & 4
- Players ranked 5 & 7 partner against players ranked 6 & 8, and so on...
- Also, contrary to the classic Mexicano, we try to ensure no two players are paired together (whenever possible) in 2 consecutive matches.
- Since pairings are purely rank-driven, the same two players can end up as partners or opponents in multiple rounds if their standings remain close.
