The whole day in under a minute
Start, score, leaderboard, fixes and sharing. The step-by-step guide with every screen follows below.
Running a tournament on the day
From the first serve to the final results: start the tournament, enter scores, follow the live leaderboard, fix mistakes on the fly and share the results. The screens below are from Single Americano. The other formats work the same way.
Start the tournament
Everything is set up on one screen. If you created the tournament earlier with a registration link, load it from My Tournaments and the registered players are already filled in.
Add players and courts, then tap Start
Open your format from the start page and tap Start Tournament Now. Then fill in:
- Playing by: Points plays to a fixed total per match (for example 16) and fills in the other team’s score for you. Games lets you enter both scores freely.
- Players: one name per line, 4 to 32 players.
- Courts: 1 to 8. You can name each court, for example “Centre Court”.
Tap Start Tournament Now. The full schedule is created straight away.
Your tournament at a glance
The top card shows the essentials:
- Players / Courts, and progress in matches and rounds.
- Fair Stop Rounds: rounds after which every player has played the same number of matches. If you run out of court time, stop after one of these so the leaderboard stays fair. “All” means every round is a fair stop.
Switch between Matches, Leaderboard and Players Statistics with the tabs. The icon at the top right goes full screen, which is handy on a TV or tablet by the courts.
Enter scores
Two taps per match. Every score is saved automatically to your account.
Tap a score box
Each match card shows the round, the court and the two teams. When a match ends, tap the score box next to either team.
Pick the score
Tap the number of points that team won.
- When Playing by Points, the other team’s score is filled in automatically: 11 out of 16 gives 5 to the opponents.
- Points per match changes the total if you agreed on a different one.
- Clear empties the score if you tapped the wrong match.
Done, on to the next one
The match is complete and the leaderboard updates straight away. Enter the other courts’ scores the same way.
The live leaderboard
Follow the standings
- Rank by Points (most points won first) or Matches (most matches won first). The order of tie-breaks is shown under the switch.
- The top three get a trophy and medals.
- ↑+1 and ↓-1 show who moved up or down in the last completed round.
- Tap “What do these columns mean?” under the table for the legend.
Choose what to show
Tap the button on the leaderboard to show or hide columns: points won, wins-ties-losses, matches played, rounds rested, points difference, averages and more.
Fix things on the fly
Typos and last-minute changes happen. Most can be fixed without restarting anything.
Tap a name to fix a typo
Tap any player’s name on a match card, type the new name and tap OK. All matches and the leaderboard update.
The Edit Tournament menu
Open Menu → Edit Tournament for:
- Change Tournament Info: name, date, scoring and linked group.
- Change Player/Team Name and Change Court Name.
- Edit Players/Teams List: add or remove players. This rebuilds the schedule, so it’s only available before the first score is entered (it’s greyed out here).
Everything else is in the Menu
Tap Menu at the top to reach My Tournaments, My Performance, My Groups, Create Tournament and Edit Tournament without leaving the tournament.
Finish and share the results
Tournament complete!
When the last score of the schedule goes in, the app celebrates and offers two choices: Check the Leaderboard now, or Generate More Rounds if you still have court time.
This appears in the Americano formats. In Mexicano and Free Flow there’s no fixed schedule, so you decide when to stop.
Still have court time?
You can also tap Generate More Rounds at the bottom of the match list once every round is complete. New rounds are added and the leaderboard keeps counting.
Share the results
Tap Share (on the Matches or Leaderboard tab). The results link is copied to your clipboard and shown with a QR code players can scan by the courts.
Anyone with the link sees the live results and leaderboard. They don’t need an account.
