Part 1 · Organizer

Create a group

A group is your saved list of regular players, for example “Sunday Social Crew” or “Bronze Players”. You create it once and reuse it for every tournament.

Step 1

Open My Groups

Open any tournament app while logged in. On the start page, tap the My Groups card.

You can also reach it from the menu during a running tournament.

Logged in only. The My Groups, My Tournaments and registration cards appear only after you log in. Groups belong to your account.
Step 2

Tap Create New Group

Your first visit shows an empty list. The note at the bottom explains what a linked group gives you:

  • A pre-filled player list, so you don’t retype names
  • A registration page where players sign themselves up
  • Cumulative stats (win rates, rankings) across every tournament the group plays
Step 3

Name the group and add players

Enter a group name, then type one person per line. Tap Save.

  • Use first name plus last initial (Oliver R.) so no two players share a name.
  • Enter individuals only, never pairs. Names can’t contain &, / or +. For Fixed Team formats, teams are made later from two players names.
  • Duplicates are rejected, ignoring capitals, accents and extra spaces, so José R. and jose r. count as the same person.
  • Names are sorted alphabetically when you save.
Step 4

Your group is saved

Each group shows its player count and how many tournaments it has played. Three buttons sit next to it:

  • Stats opens the group’s public stats page.
  • Edit adds or renames players. A newcomer you add here shows up in the registration page’s name list the next time the page is opened.
  • Delete (red bin) removes the group after you confirm.
Part 3 · Players

The registration page

This is what players see when they open your link. It works in any phone browser. No app, account or password is needed.

Step 9

Pick your name and tap Join

The green header shows the tournament name, date and time, how many have registered (5/8), and the group name.

Below it is the numbered list of registered players with the time each one joined. To register, a player picks their name from the dropdown and taps Join ✓.

  • The dropdown lists only group members who haven’t registered yet.
  • Someone missing from the list? Add them to the group with Edit (step 4 above).
Step 10

Registered

A green confirmation appears and the player is added to the list in slot 6. The counter updates to 6/8.

The page fetches the latest list each time it opens, so everyone sees the current line-up.

Part 4 · Automatic

The waiting list

Once the cap from step 6 is reached, the page keeps taking registrations and queues them in order. You don’t have to manage it.

Step 11

When the tournament is full

The first 8 players have green numbers. Anyone after that appears under ⏳ Waiting List with grey numbers, in the order they joined.

The join box shows an orange warning: “Tournament is full — you’ll be added to the waiting list.” Players can still join, and they go to the back of the queue.

Reading the counter: it counts everyone signed up, so 10/8 means 8 confirmed plus 2 waiting.
Step 12

A player withdraws

To drop out, a player taps the red bin next to their name (1) and confirms (2).

Players who withdraw go back into the dropdown and can rejoin later. A rejoin counts as a new sign-up, so it goes to the end of the queue.

Good to know: there’s no login, so anyone with the link can remove any name. Share the link only with your group.
Step 13

The next player moves up

The freed slot goes straight to the first player on the waiting list. Here, Noah T. moves into slot 8 and Sofia G. becomes first in the queue.

The same happens if you raise Max Number of Players later: players from the top of the waiting list move into the new slots.

Step 14

You get an email

Whenever a confirmed player withdraws from a full tournament, the organizer gets an email from hello@padellife.style:

  • Waiting list promotion says who moved up, with the current numbers.
  • Spot open is sent when the tournament was full but nobody was waiting, so you know there’s a free place to fill.
Part 5 · Organizer

Load & start on the day

When it’s time to play, open the tournament and the registered players are already filled in.

Step 15

Open My Tournaments and tap Load

On the start page, tap My Tournaments, find the tournament and tap Load.

Step 16

Check the players and start

  • The Players box is pre-filled with the confirmed players only. The waiting list is left out.
  • The pre-filled list is still fully editable: add a player, delete one, or change a name before you start.
  • The registration link is shown again, so you can re-share it.
  • The group is locked 🔒 for an existing tournament, so stats always go to the right group.
  • Set the number of courts and court names, adjust the player list if someone cancelled in person, then tap Start Tournament Now.
Edits save automatically. Changes to the name, date or max players are saved as you type.
Also worth knowing

Fixed teams & group stats

Fixed Team formats

Players register as pairs

In Fixed Team Americano and Fixed Team Mexicano, the page asks for You and Your partner, and counts teams instead of players.

  • No partner yet? Join alone and you’re listed under 🙋 Looking for a partner.
  • Team up picks that player as your partner. Then choose your own name and tap Join.
  • Solo players don’t count toward the cap or the waiting list until they’re paired.
  • Removing a team asks who is leaving. If one partner leaves, the other goes back to “looking for a partner”.
Group stats

Stats build up over time

Every tournament played with a linked group adds to that group’s stats. Tap Stats in My Groups to open the public page at padellife.style/stats/?uuid=…. You can share it with players, and they don’t need to log in to see it.

Groups work without registration too. In Start Tournament Now, choosing a group (optional there) lets you pick players from it, and the results still count toward the group’s stats.

Stats take a few tournaments to fill in. The page opens after the group’s first completed tournament, but a player only appears in Player Rankings once they’ve played at least 3 tournaments with the group.
Group stats page

Summary cards

The top of the page shows the group’s totals: Tournaments, Unique Players, Matches Played and Top Format.

The 🔥 Player of the Month banner shows the most improved player. It compares their win rate over the group’s last 4 tournaments with their earlier results.

Who qualifies: a player must have played at least 3 of those last 4 tournaments and have earlier results to compare against.
Group stats page

Player rankings

Players are ranked by win rate across all of the group’s tournaments, with their tournament and match counts. The top three get a crown, a silver medal and a bronze medal.

  • Only players with at least 3 tournaments are listed. Until someone reaches that, the section reads “No players have participated in 3 or more tournaments yet.”
  • In Fixed Team tournaments, the team’s results count for both players.
  • The buttons at the top jump to more sections further down: Best Partner, Toughest Opponent, Win Rate History and Tournaments History.
